Summarize purpose of the contract, including why it was necessary: Diquat and endothall are two contaminants regulated by the SDWA that Minnesota has historically had a vulnerability and use waiver that resulted in monitoring for those two contaminants being exempt. Due to recent use of those chemicals in the state, the use waiver is no longer in effect and MDH will begin to monitor for diquat and endothall at vulnerable water systems as outlined under the SDWA. Due to the number of systems being brought into this monitoring at once, MDH needs professional/technical services to assist with this sampling effort.
