Summarize purpose of the contract, including why it was necessary: The Department of Revenue (DOR) nneded to change the management of the agencies data center from an outsourced model to an internally managed model . This work order was for staff to augment technical personnel to provide continuity of support for the successful delivery of data center services.
This was necessary for the successful transition from an outsourced data center model to an internal management model. The expectation was that there would be no significant interruption of data services to the internal or external customers of DOR.

Evaluate the contractor's timeliness Contractor performed his tasks and delivered the services, documentation and results of needed research in a timely manner. He worked on issues immediately, realizing that the system needs to be able to serve the department 24/7.

Evaluate the contractor's quality Contractor wrote good documentation and did his job well. He did very well in training state employees, making the transition from contractor to state employees very smooth and easy.

Evaluate the contractor's cost At $70 per hour, he was a bargain (most contractors charge $125/hour or more); considering that he performed his job very well.

Evaluate the contractor's overall performance Hiring Mohan Pidikiti as storage contractor helped ISD in taking over the responsibility of managing and administering the enterprise storage system smoothly and efficiently With Mohan’ s help, state employees were trained and have taken over that responsibility resulting in no longer having a need for contractor’s services .
