Summarize purpose of the contract, including why it was necessary: The purpose of project was to team up with the county who was developing a pavement rehab job on their Broadway Ave. The
east end of the project intersects with US 61 which was also in need of repairs and ADA upgrades. It was a good opportunity to
get the work done on both roadways while minimizing impacts to the road users. The contract was deemed necessary due to
lack of internal resources and also the fact that the county was already working on a related project in the vicinity
